That's a Wrap

Dear Readers,

We'd like to say that it was a pleasure working on this website for you.  There are many great individuals who are dedicated to bringing you this online content every week -- from the graphic designers and programmers, to the producers and publicists.  It was an honor to work with them, and we look forward to the next project, whatever it may be.

As our final post, we figured we would share some of our favorite moments from this season.  So, in no particular order, here we go...

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JASON RITTER

We've said it before, and we'll say it again.  Jason is a remarkable talent.  We laughed all day.  He is the genuine article, folks.

THE BUS EXPLOSION

What a night!  We braved a cold winter night in an abandoned area of downtown Los Angeles, watching Gary D'Amico and his Special Effects crew rig gasoline, detonation cord, and gunpowder in old public transit buses.  Even from 100 yards away, we still felt the heat and shockwave.

PILOT

The best part of the pilot was getting to travel to the beautiful island of Hawaii to shoot for 4 days*. One of the main reasons we went was to capture the thrilling sequence of Sean Walker leaping off a 50-foot cliff into the ocean below to save Vicky from drowning.  (If only he knew what would happen after that moment!) It was my favorite moment from the pilot episode, and what an amazing place to wrap up an otherwise strenuous shoot.

*editor's note: The above producer's assistant was not allowed to travel with the production crew to Hawaii. If he was allowed, he imagines that's how he would have felt.

TOUR OF "THE WHITE HOUSE" WITH STUART BLATT

Video

Stuart, our Production Designer, and his talented crew built innumerable sets this season, from Dempsey's office to a crashed plane in the desert.  We only scratched the surface with showing you their work, but we hope you enjoyed seeing it on screen.  Though, perhaps the ultimate test of an art department is for the audience not to notice the locations, as they just blend seamlessly into the story...

DEMPSEY'S OFFICE

From Walker Dalton's photography to Nina Edlund's programming and vision, we really love how this turned out.  Nice work, everyone!

Well, we could go on for days with memories of The Event.  It was an honor to work with everyone.

Thank you for your dedication and support throughout the season.

Until next time...
